Bin Rental Policy & Agreement

Thank you for choosing Tor Bin Rental, a division of Tor Contracting Inc.

By renting a bin from Tor Bin Rental (a division of Tor Contracting Inc.), the Customer ("You") agrees to the following legally binding Terms and Conditions. Please review these terms carefully before finalizing your booking.

1. Rental Period & Changes

Our Standard (Regular Rate) Bin Rental includes:

Bin delivery
7-day rental period
Bin pickup
1 metric tonne of disposal included
Additional weight charged per metric tonne

ALL-IN Rate Bins include all applicable disposal fees; however, material limitations apply (see Waste Types below).

Example: If your bin is delivered on the 1st of the month, it must be ready for pickup by the morning of the 8th day.

*Additional bins can be rented at quoted rates if more capacity is required (see below for Dump & Return).

Rental Extensions:

Rentals extending beyond 7 days are subject to a $25 per day extension fee.
Pickup date changes must be requested at least 24 hours in advance during office hours.
Failure to confirm changes in advance may result in additional fees.

Early Pickup: If you finish with the bin before the rental period ends, notify us and we will schedule pickup at the earliest available opportunity.

Delivery & Pickup Window: Monday – Friday; 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

2. Bin Ready for Pickup Requirements

A bin is considered ready for pickup only when:

Doors are fully closed and latched (top & bottom)
Load is level and does not exceed the fill line
Sharp or protruding objects face downward
No debris, vehicles, or obstructions block access

*If the bin is inaccessible or improperly loaded, pickup may be delayed and additional travel or wait fees may apply.

*Pickup typically occurs during the morning of the scheduled pickup date, but timing is not guaranteed.

3. Bin Placement

Surface Requirements: Bins must be placed on a solid, level surface (concrete, asphalt, or compacted gravel).
Customer Risk: Bins placed on grass, soft ground, or unpaved surfaces are done so strictly at the Customer's request and risk.
Property Damage: While Tor Bin Rental utilizes driveway-safe equipment designed to minimize impact, Tor Bin Rental is not liable for damage to driveways, lawns, curbs, sidewalks, or underground utilities (e.g., septic systems, irrigation) resulting from the weight of the bin or the delivery vehicle.

4. Household & Construction Waste

Household & Construction Waste includes common residential and renovation materials such as:

Wood waste & dimensional lumber
Carpet & flooring
Windows & doors
Bulky rigid plastics
Furniture (couches, mattresses, etc.)
Similar non-hazardous debris

ALL-IN Rate Bins DO NOT PERMIT:

Shingles
Tiles
Concrete
Brick
Asphalt
Stumps
Soil

These materials may only be placed in a Regular Rate Bin.

*If prohibited materials are placed in an ALL-IN Rate Bin, additional charges will apply.

*If you are unsure whether an item is acceptable, contact our office before loading the bin.

5. Clean Fill

Clean Fill is defined as ONE material type ONLY, such as:

Concrete (NO rebar)
Interlock
Brick or masonry block
Asphalt
Dirt or soil
Grass

⚠️ Clean Fill materials may NOT be mixed.

Mixing clean fill materials together will result in the bin being classified as Difficult Waste with a $325 sorting fee.
Mixing any other waste (garbage, steel, household waste, etc.) into a clean fill bin will result in Difficult Mixed Waste charges of $325 per metric tonne, in addition to the rental price.

6. Billing & Payment

Full payment is required prior to delivery
Authorization: The Customer authorizes Tor Bin Rental to charge the card on file for the initial rental, fuel surcharges, and any post-pickup fees (overweight charges, damage, prohibited items, or specialized disposal). Scale tickets are available upon request.
Late Payment: Late payments may incur interest at 2% per month (24% annually).

7. Extra Charges

The following fees may apply:

Cancellation Fee: $30 (Credit Card Processing Fee)
Rescheduling Fee: $100 (Rescheduling within 24hrs or Cancellation within 6hrs of delivery)
Dump & Return: $195 (7 days added to rental from date bin is dumped) (weight not included)
Re-Location Fee: $95
Overloaded: Higher than Max Fill Line/ Level Load Line by 6 inches - $100
Freon: (Air conditioners, freezers, refrigerators, any unit with freon) $50 each item
Tires: $20 each
Travel Fee: $95 (For Failed attempts of Pickup or Deliveries)
Wait Fee: $95/hr (Is applicable when waiting on-site for more then 30 mins)
Tow Bill: If our truck or equipment gets stuck on your property and requires a tow truck to pull us out the Tow Bill will be transferred to the Customer and may be subject to additional Labour Fees/ Wait Fees @ $95/hr.
Damages: Customer shall not allow any damage to our equipment or bins in the duration of rental. In the event of significant damage is present during pick up, repairs will be appraised and the supplied credit card will be charged within 7 business days after pickup.

8. Fuel Surcharge

A Fuel Surcharge will be applied to the initial rental amount. The fuel surcharge will also apply to all additional fees. The fuel surcharge rate may be adjusted based on current fuel prices and will be disclosed at the time of booking.

9. Hazardous Waste

Hazardous waste is strictly prohibited.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Paint
Batteries
Chemicals
Gasoline
Asbestos
Feces
Tires

If hazardous waste is found in a bin, it will be classified as Difficult Mixed Waste and charged at $325 per metric tonne, plus applicable disposal fees.

⚠️ Winter Weather Advisory

For the safety of our drivers and equipment, our trucks will not operate during unsafe road conditions — such as heavy snowfall, snow-covered roads, or icy surfaces. All bin deliveries and pickups will resume once road conditions improve and are deemed safe to travel.
